May 22nd, 5:21 PM

For my last day of senior project, I ran through my slideshow and reviewed my reflection. I looked at my time sheet and made sure it was filled out. I made sure I had every part of the project done. I got all of my first drawings that I will show at the exhibition. It is ready to be handed it. I did two hours of work today. I have fifty-eight hours.
For May 21st

Today, I gathered all of my materials together and ran over everything I have to do. I am going to keep editing my reflection and slideshow until Wednesday. I am also going to look over the project itself. There might be one more thing I want to add on before I turn it in. I do, however, think that I will be happy with the final product I present. I did two hours of work today. I have fifty-six hours.
Weekly Reflection #3

This was the last week for me to complete the major steps to the completetion of  my senior project.

Next Wednesday, I will be turning in the project that I have been working on for the past three weeks.

This week, I finished the book, laminated the pages, and made a book cover. I just need to laminate a

back page, finish out my evaluation, finish my slide show presentation, and give the whole

presentation at the Senior Project Exhibition.  I loved what I was doing. I think I am ready.

The easiest part of the week was doing the laminating. It only took about five minutes to use the

machine. I just had to let Erikka know in advance so that she could get the machine to warm up. I was

asked to laminate so that the pages stayed fresh and clean. The week went as I expected, and I learned

how to laminate! Besides Tech Week, the week the cast of the musical rehearses the entire show

every night,  it was not as eventful as the past ones because most of my work was done and I just had

to do a few more housekeeping jobs in order to finish up the final steps in order to complete the

project. I will benefit from this week's activities because I will have a finished product, and that is my

week's goal.

I can't wait to show everyone my three work's worth of work. Thanks for everyone's support!

For May 18th

Today, I realized I am almost done with both my slideshow and evaluation. The only other step now is to get everything laminated. I am really looking forward to sharing my work. This project has been really enjoyable. I want to do this sort of thing with my career. I did three hours of work today. I have fifty-four hours.

May 17th, 3:55 PM.

Today, I typed 2 and a half pages of my self reflection. I have written 764 words. I ended up taking a break from the reflection, and I was able to started my slideshow. I am probably going to laminate the pages either tomorrow or Tuesday. I am also planning on printing out my drawing documents to put on display at the exhibition along witht the finished products and the slideshow. It is almost ready! I did five hours of work today. I have fifty-one hours.
For May 16th.

Today, I was able to put all of the dialogue and captions into the strips. I just have to get them laminated and make a cover. For Thursday, I am hoping to complete my self-relfection and possibly start my slideshow. I also have to set up another meeting with Amy so she can look over my final product. I'm really happy with it. I did two hours of work today. I have forty-six hours of work today.

For May 15th.

Today, I finished the last strip, and am going to work on the dialogue. This part will not take as much time as the drawing part. After I am done with this part, I will print the pages out and laminate them. The cover will be made with markers or colored pencils. Then, for my exhibition, I'll use a slideshow to talk about my processes throughout the making of the book. I did three hours of work today. I have forty-four of my fifty hours.

Monday, May 14, 2018

May 14th, 10:52 PM.

Today, I worked on the fourth and last strip. I plan to finish it, tomorrow. After this one is done, I will do the east part of typing in the dialogue from the scripts. The only challenge for that part is figuring out where to place the talking balloons. I just have a few panels to make before I can do that, though. I did four hours of work today. I have forty-one of my fifty hours.

Weekly Reflection #2

May 13th, 6:00 PM.

This week, I learned that sometimes it is more important to think about the big picture instead of one

little thing. If something on the project isn't working, find another way. I was working on a panel, but

it was not coming out the wayt I wanted it to, so I eventually decided to just change the drawing

because I did not want to halt the working process. I liked what I was doing, I just had to realize that I

had to use a different method to make the finished product good.

I was asked to decide between two topics because of my time limit. It mostly went as I expected,

despite that one part where I had to decide between topics and when I was having trouble finding a

way to finish the panel I was making. The benefits of this week are that I have more of the work I

need for the project done and am closer to being able to put out the finished result.

The work I did this week will help me acheive my goals of finishing this project and being able to

give it to Amy for her to use in a classroom setting. I am excited to keep working and show everyone

what I make.

May 12th, 10:21 PM.

Today, I finished the third strip and I love the way it came out. I am now starting on the fourth one. The one I'm making now is about fraternal vs identical twins. Did you know that only identical twins can be the same sex? There's more where that came from in this fourth strip. I'll post a picture from the third one. I did four hours of work today. I have thirty-seven of my fifty hours.

This post is for May 11th.

Today, I worked on the third strip. The work for this one was a little slow because I changed a few things with the drawings. I had decided to change them because I thought they worked better for the story. I spent a little more time on a panel that I ended up deciding not to use because I just couldn't get it right. I think for now I won't try to make the drawings as complex as possible and focus on making the drawings and story good and well-thought out. I worked on this for four hours. I have thirty-three of my fifty hours.

May 10th, 10:49 PM.

Today, I started the third strip on gray hair. I'm really into these drawings right now. I made what I think is my favorite drawing I've done this entire project besides one other. I'll post both of them. I met with Amy today, and she loved seeing what I have made. I am really proud of what I have made. I did four hours of work today. I have twenty-nine of my fifty hours.

May 9th, 10:46 PM.

Today, I finished the second comic and started the third one. This one is the one about why hair turns gray. I think it might be my favorite because I got to put some good humor into it and that makes the story more fun to read. I think the drawings for this one are going to be really cool, too. I'm noticing that I am using a lot of bright colors for these, and I think that it's going to help in catching a person's attention. I did four hours of work today, so I have twenty-five of my fifty hours done.

May 8th, 8:57 PM.

I have three panels left on my second strip. Then, I can begin on the third one. That one will be about why hair goes gray. I won't give it away. I'll just say that it isn't because of work! I also plan on having another meeting with Amy to show her the first two strips.  I worked for four hours today, so I have twenty-one of my fifty hours.

May of 7th, 8:51 PM

Today, I finished the first strip. Now, I am starting the second strip on heart circulation. So far, I have four panels done on the second one. I'll attach a few of the drawings I did today. I think the easiest part so far is drawing the people. It's drawing the backgrounds that's a little difficult.  I did three hours of work today, so I have done seventeen of my fifty hours.

Weekly Reflection #1

This week, I learned more about planning, and that the more effort I put in, the more likely I can be

ahead of schedule. I ended up doing this with the script writing! I finised the scripts in three days,

even though I thought it was going to take me the whole first week.

I liked what I was doing. The process of thinking up plotlines and ways that the characters would e

put in situations where they would have to explain anatomical concepts was a challenge, but overall it

was fun. My favorite part is the drawing though, because I love drawing and was able to do a lot with

the material that I had.

I was asked to revise some of the script because it needed a little more detail. It is one that teaches

about the heart's circulatory system. This one needs the most detail because it has the most terms. I

undetstand why I would need to revise it.

The benefits of this week's activities are that I got to finish the scripts and start the actual drawing

process. After I finish the drawings, I can put in the dialogue.

What I did helped achieve my goals because it helped me take steps towards finishing the scripts

that I needed to do in order to finish the book, and I finished them a few days earlier than I thought I

would, so I feel accomplished with this week's goals.
For May 5th.

I spent an hour today working on the first strip. I drew a few more panels and decided to edit some one of the scripts. I had decieded it needed a little more detail. The first strip is almost done. I just have to make a few more panels. I think it'll look great after it's finished! I have fourteen out of fifty hours done.

Friday, May 4, 2018

May 4th 11:31 PM

Today, I worked some more on the first strip. I have to say, that it was pretty fun. I liked deciding what colors to use and what facial expressions to draw. I am using a lot of bright colors because they are more likely going to grab a person's attention. Drawing it can be a slow process, but the pictures look better that way. I worked four hours today. Therefore, I have thirteen of my fifty hours completed.

Thursday, May 3, 2018

May 3rd. 3:04 PM.

Today, I finished the last script. I have a total of five scripts to make comic strips for. Because the scripts are done, I can start drawing the pictures! This one is the first panel of the first strip about a broken bone. I just have to set up my next meeting with Amy. I have nine out of fifty hours.

Wednesday, May 2, 2018

May 2nd. 5:00 PM.

Today, I met with Amy and showed her my work. She was pleased with the results. I got some good feedback on what was good as is and what needed improvement. I also worked on the scripts for three hours. I now have four. The two I made today are for gray hair and the differences of identical and fraternal twins. I'll show these at my next meeting. I have six of my fifty hours.

Tuesday, May 1, 2018

May 1st. 8:47 PM.

Today was the very first day of my project! I spent three hours today working on writing the scripts for my textbook. As of now, I have 2 and a half of the comic scripts written. Scripts are used in order to map out the dialougue, which characters say it, and where it will fit into the panels of the comic strip. The first is about how a broken bone heals, and the second one is about the circulatory system. The one I plan on finishing tomorrow is about what makes hair turn gray. I have 3 out of my 50 hours completed.
